Support Artists, Foster Community, Create Connections
MFA:NW is a traveling exhibition and event series that features the work of recent MFA graduates from the Northwest region. It connects emerging artists with diverse communities outside the major metropolitan areas of the I-5 corridor and creates opportunities for connection and conversation. The series is juried by members of the Northwest arts ecology, giving audiences a glimpse into the topics, media, and practices that are important to the new generation of Northwest artists.
With your support, we can bring art and community together.
Your donation will help:
Provide professional exhibition opportunities for emerging artists
Connect artists with new audiences
Bring art to underserved communities
Foster creativity and imagination
Donate today and support art connections in the Northwest.
Diverse Locations
Regional Arts Centers provide their communities with rich programming and experiential opportunities. By partnering with Centers throughout the Northwest, the series of MFA:NW shows introduces up-and-coming artists to existing arts networks and new supporters.
Recent MFA Graduates
Recent MFAs are the next generation of leading artists. They are emerging with new work, new topics, and a deep engagement with current issues. Exhibition experience helps to build careers and expands the audiences for their work. In a position to be relatable to younger artists, recent MFA grads can support and inspire through conversation and exposure. Creating connections between arts ecologies expands available opportunities necessary for successful careers.
Programming for connection.
Community often happens through conversation. Events that connect artists and viewers will happen at each MFA:NW exhibition venue: conversations, presentations, or workshops that address topics and techniques. Opportunities to ask questions, to explain, to learn.
